With every picture I just added, I said to myself, "I loved that age. Maybe it was my favorite." So I guess I didn't really have a favorite; they were all really sweet and fun in their own different ways. Here are some fun facts about Nathan at one year old:
- He is tall and skinny. At his one-year well visit, he weighed 20 lb. 11 oz. and measured 30.5 inches. He grew almost a whole 13 lbs. and 10 inches in his first year.
- He crawls really fast, is able to get to his feet without assistance, and walks along furniture or with a walker, but he is not walking on his own yet.
- He says "bye-bye" and "da-da." He has said "baby" a few times when looking at his own baby pictures. He is starting to try to repeat things that you say; e.g. his great-grandma told him to say "papa," and he immediately repeated it several times.
- He started eating some solid food around 7 months but still was, I would say, getting 80-90 percent of his daily intake from breastmilk for the rest of his first year. Bananas are his favorite food, but he's still pretty indifferent about eating food most of the time.
