In honor of the first GOP debate for the 2012 election and the Ron Paul money bomb going on today, I thought I'd write my first (of probably, let's be realistic, many, many posts) post about Ron Paul for this election cycle. This is just one reason I love Ron Paul, but it's usually for this reason that I randomly exclaim, "This is why I love Ron Paul."
We have two Ron Paul bumper stickers on our car. We get honks and waves all the time from fellow Ron Paul people. Last year, Gus was driving down Huger in Columbia, and a man in a car motioned for him to roll down his window at a light and told him that he didn't vote for Ron Paul but next time he definitely would. We speed up to people any time we see a Ron Paul bumper sticker so we can roll down our windows and wave while yelling "Ron Paul!" Maybe all the Obama people are doing that to each other too, and I just don't know it because I'm out of that loop, but I really don't think so.
Also, I have a whole group of "Ron Paul" Facebook friends that I don't know or have met once or perhaps just seen at a meeting or rally. Another stranger just added me yesterday and sent a simple message with her request: "Ron Paul!" Seriously, did McCain supporters add other McCain supporters on Facebook just because they were McCain supporters? I may be wrong, but I really doubt it.
I really love the incredible enthusiasm that Ron Paul ignites in people to unite together to help our country.
